Aberdeen Sports Massage Ltd: Sports Massage Therapist and Bike-fit Technician

Aberdeen Sports Massage are looking for a Sports Massage Therapist with a specialist interest in cycling to lead our Bike-fit service. Therapist will also be asked to assist in the provision of massage therapy in three busy sports injury clinics. The clinical aspect of the job will entail therapists treating a range of clients from international athletes to clients looking for help managing the problems that arise from modern day working practices. The successful applicant will also lead up the Bike-fit service, delivering in-depth bike modifications to a range of cyclists in the Aberdeen area.
About the role:
Working within the medical team, led by the Company Director, you will provide a range of massage therapies, custom tailored to the individual. You will use your knowledge of anatomy and well-being to give your clients individualised massage therapy solutions to their problems.
You should have experience of working with a range of massage clients and have a passion for sport, injury management and providing the highest possible quality of care. Applicants will be able to demonstrate highly effective communication skills, a commitment to continued professional development and strong work ethic.
Applicants are required to have a qualification in Sports Massage or equivalent, appropriate insurance to practice massage therapy and be able to pass a PVG security check. Experience of working with athletes is preferred but not essential.
It is not expected that the successful applicant have a formal qualification in Bike-fitting, although this is preferred. Appropriate training and accreditation will be provided for the successful applicant. You should however have a passion for cycling and preferably have been or still are engaged in cycling as a hobby. You should have a good understanding of cycling and the equipment involved.
